Year Two Reverse Site Visit and Funding A big “Thank You” to all of the participants for all of the hard work in year one of TN-SCORE. The visit to NSF and presentation to the independent review panel on September 13 went well and recommendations are being incorporated into year two activities and future plans. Budgets for year two TN-SCORE projects are being implemented via subcontract amendments with partnering institutions, and consistent with our collaborative agreement with NSF, we will be establishing an evaluation process for Research Nodes and collaborations to help determine year three budgets. Fisk University Career Day Joshua Francois and Angela Gilley attended Fisk University’s 2011 Fall Career and Graduate School Fair. This was an excellent opportunity to interact with Fisk University’s students and provide them with information about TN-SCORE’s Research Experiences for Undergraduate (REU) program. There was an impressive response from students, and contacts were also made with faculty who will be instrumental in our student recruitment for TN-SCORE programs.
