TN-SCORE Research Stimulation Awards (RSA)
Purpose
-Support the development of junior investigators so they can obtain other major funding.
-Encourage universities and industry to work cooperatively on renewable energy research.
Application Details
1. All proposals must be submitted electronically in PDF format to tnepscor@tennessee.edu.
2. All proposals must be submitted through your university research office. Awards will support direct costs only.
3. Review of proposals begins July 15, 2012. Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis as funding allows.
4. Proposals will be reviewed by a panel of TN-SCORE technical participants.
Proposal Requirements
A. Title of the Project
B. Name of Investigator(s), Title, Office Address, Telephone Number, E-mail, Institution & Industry Partners (if applicable)
C. Total Amount of Grant Funds Being Applied for From TN-SCORE (must range between $5,000-$50,000) Awards will not be subject to university indirect costs.
D. Proposed Length of Project Recommended time frame 2-6 months for Stage 1 awards and 6-12 months for Stage 2 awards). Include the anticipated beginning date and completion date.
E. Expected Outcomes within the TN-SCORE Impact Areas Research, Workforce Development, Diversity, Cyberinfrastructure, External Engagement, & Sustainability (as applicable).
F. Abstract This section should be limited to 250 words and should summarize the proposed research/project, outlining succinctly the objective and methodology.
G. Statement of work and Industry Support (if applicable).This portion of the proposal should be limited to 2-3 pages.
H. Appendix Supporting materials, e.g., survey or supporting letter.
I. Biographical Sketch(es) Give the following information for the investigator(s) listed on page 1. Begin with the Principal Investigator/Program Director. All relevant participants should submit curriculum vitae. TN-SCORE encourages women and underrepresented minorities to apply.
