Winners Announced for Poster Competition

The TN-SCORE Annual Meeting was held on Monday, August 8th at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. There were over 90 participants including 41 student posters presented during the meeting. There were three winning posters selected. One in each of the strategic research areas of TN-SCORE. The primary author of the winning posters will enter their poster and attend the National NSF EPSCoR Conference in Coeu d'Alene, Idaho next October.
The Thrust 1 winning poster is titled "Isolation and Identification of Chroococcidis Photosystems." It was presented by Taylor Richardson, Brian Moran, Li Meng, Brendan Williams and Barry Bruce.

Thrust 2 winner authors are Leah Douglas, Michael Bright, Doug Aaron, Alexander B. Papandrew and Thomas Zawodzinski. The poster is titled "Reduction of Redox Flow Battery Overpotential via Electrode Modification."

Thrust 3's winning poster is tiltled " Creating a Junction Between Single Layer Graphene and Single Layer MoS2." The authors are Geoffrey Musick,Rebecca Cioffi, Yunhao Cao, Tu Hong and Yaqiong Xu.
